For newly planted trees, water deeply 2-3 times per week during the first year, allowing the topsoil to dry slightly between waterings. Young trees benefit from deep watering once a week during the growing season for the first 2-3 years to encourage a healthy, deep root system. Established trees generally need water only during prolonged dry periods, usually every 2-4 weeks. When watering trees, focus on the drip lineÑthe area under the canopyÕs edgeÑand use a slow drip method, such as a soaker hose, to ensure the water soaks deeply into the soil.

Choose a pot that is 1-2 times larger than the current pot, ensuring there is adequent drainage to prevent waterlogging roots. Plan on repotting every 3-5 years.

Choose soil rich in nutrients and with good drainage to support root growth.

Plant at the same depth as in the pot, keeping the top of the root ball level with the soil.

Water the plant appropriately, keeping the soil moist but not too wet.
