Comes Back Every Year
Nice to meet you, my name is Annabelle Hydrangea! My enormous balls of dainty snow white flowers are known for being an eye catching, classy addition to any garden. My distinctive flowers and bold texture serve as unique but timeless additions to your landscape, and are excellent for cutting. I require occasional upkeep, and look my best when I am pruned in late winter, after the threat of extreme cold has passed. I am highly tolerant of urban pollution and will thrive in any soil - my one request is that my soil is kept moist!

Late Winter/Early Spring
Approx. 1-2 times per week
- Large Blooms: The Annabelle Hydrangea produces large, white, ball-shaped blooms that can reach up to 12 inches in diameter. These showy flowers are a favourite of gardeners and make a beautiful addition to any landscape.
- Long Bloom Season: The Annabelle Hydrangea has a long bloom season, starting in late spring or early summer and lasting well into fall. This extended bloom time means you can enjoy the beautiful flowers for a longer period of time compared to other hydrangea varieties.
- Low Maintenance: The Annabelle Hydrangea is a low-maintenance shrub that is easy to care for. It is relatively pest and disease resistant, and can tolerate a range of soil conditions. It prefers full sun to partial shade and regular watering, but can also handle drought conditions once established.
- Watering: Water deeply once a week or as needed during dry periods. Annabelle Hydrangea prefers consistently moist soil, but not waterlogged or saturated soil.
- Maintenance: Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and maintain a tidy appearance.
- Pruning: Cut the plant back to 6-12 inches above ground level in late fall or early spring to encourage new growth.
- (Optional): Annabelle Hydrangea can benefit from a balanced fertilizer in early spring or mid-summer. Avoid fertilizing late in the season to prevent tender new growth from being damaged by frost.
